Get Out of Debt

Dave Ramsey talks about achieving small victories when waging war on your debt. This is fantastic advice. I intend to implement this practice in my own life.

Check it out.

His Financial Peace University comes highly recommended. What I appreciate most about him is his nod to issues of faith as being of utmost importance. He rightfully recognizes the relationship between God and money.

Alex Is Gone :(

Alex, the very intellingent grey parrot has left the building.

This bird is a testament to the wonder of creation.

God is amazing.

Stunning Huckabee

Pleasant.

It is extremely so and quite gratifying that such a glowing conservative star should grace the heavens of Iowa's political sphere.

And results. This man was not on my radar a week ago. I politely appreciated his views and mused to myself that the man did not have a snowball's chance.

Well. The snowball has some magic about it. It has a chance.

Do yourself a favor and investigate the man.

That's what I am talking about!

I just came across this on townhall.com. Mitt Romney has made a point of saying thank you to the troops. He has links for many troops supporting organizations linked on his site.

I just have to say it because it cannot be said too much.

To all of the troops.

Every soldier.

Thank you. For all that you have done. I thank you.

The Way They Play

Can we engage in reasoned debate with the left?

Civil debate.

Words contrasted with words without fear of retribution? Apparently not. There are elements on the left that are just not nice at all. Period.

Robert Bluey makes the case of Drew Johnson who broke the story of Al Gore's fantastic electricity usage. The blogging left commenced to mount its campaign of death threats, hate mail and harassment.

Drew marches on.

Cut to D.C.

This same crowd caused no small amount of trouble over the weekend. Gathering of Eagles was present roughly 30,000 strong to be sure that our national monuments did not suffer from their zeal. As usual Michelle Malkin has a great write-up at her site.

You will note that the great pictures that you find there probably did not make it to the local news. The MSM factory treats the right about the same as always.

Just like the anti-abortion protests. They are characterized as wild-eyed wackos or studiously ignored.

*sigh*

Fox Gone Soft

What is going on with the Fox News Channel? They are fairly good at reporting fairly. But Fox has a habit of reporting junk news far too frequently for this old boys taste! Laura Ingraham is dead on when she scolds Bill O'Reilly for behavior unbecoming of a Traditional Warrior.

Fox is simply far too obsessed with the Anna Nicole saga, Britney's rehab woes or the latest Hot Celebrity Gossip.

Come on Fox! Where did you go? What has happened! Stop the Madness!

Sacred Monuments

What makes someone so vile that they would desecrate American monuments raised to honor those who gave their lives for our freedom.

Thank God that there is a group called Gathering of Eagles.

There are still those who stand for honor. Among these are our fighting men and women.

American Soldier, I salute you for fighting that I might have the right to type this and not fear government oppression.

American Soldier, I salute you for enduring turmoil and giving the leftist moron the opportunity to spew his venom. He may not recognize your sacrifice but I certainly do.

I salute you and honor you.

I really do.

Remeber the Alamo?

This Texan remembers.

Yep. I am a sappy, sentimental Texan. An American. Unapologetic. I cry real tears for the men and women of valor who put their lives on the line every day. I had a real lump in my throat when the towers fell.

That ragtag group in the Alamo was hopelessly outnumbered. They fought on. Til death.

Is conservatism hopelessly outnumbered? Are we just a ragtag bunch? If we are, we will fight on to conserve liberty wherever it is threatened. We will not cut and run. Failure is not an option.

There is something about the underdog that we Americans find fascinating.

The Alamo.

300.

John Rambo.

The American Revolution.

Why do we find it so hard to keep our promises? I know. It is the voice of only a malcontent few that want to embrace defeat. Yet it is this voice that gains audience far to often. The voice of victory is too often suppressed.

Victory is not a dirty word.

Victory!
